BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 23. Iran is interested in creating an electricity supply network between the countries of the region, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said at a meeting of foreign ministers within the “3+3” format, Trend reports.
According to the Iranian minister, one of the positive steps could be the unification and synchronization of the energy networks of the countries in the region.
He added that regional cooperation can be expanded in the areas of customs, trade, agriculture, technology, cultural relations and many other areas.
A meeting in the "3+3" format with the participation of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Russia, Türkiye, Armenia - Jeyhun Bayramov, Sergey Lavrov, Hakan Fidan and Ararat Mirzoyan began in Tehran.
The first meeting in the "3 + 3" format took place last year in Moscow.
